Hello! I'm Veronique Louis-Jacques. I was born and raised in South Florida to Haitian immigrants. From an early age, I always understood the impact that words have on audiences. Growing up shy, I was determined to find new and creative ways to translate her buzzing brain – full of opinions and ideas – to others. I would establish writing as her main passion and make it her career.
In 2021, I moved to Los Angeles – not knowing a single soul and unsure of what the future held – to pursue her studies in journalism. During my studies, I gained an inkling to use my storytelling skills to wholeheartedly advocate for organizations. Under an accelerated program, I pursue both an undergraduate degree in journalism and a graduate degree in public relations and advertising. When I'm not focusing on her studies and honing her craft, I can be found listening to audiobook memoirs, going on hikes throughout Los Angeles, and exploring different coffee shops and bookstores.
Having dipped my toes in various storytelling mediums – radio, broadcast, print, digital, etc. – I have interests in exploring a variety of career paths in the journalism and PR industry. Though as a pop culture connoisseur, I hope to make my mark in the entertainment space.
No matter the medium, I strive to create content that provokes curiosity, pushes the boundary of media, and expands the waters of diversity.
